Brabeion Software Extends IT Regulatory Compliance Solution to Microsoft System Center

Brabeion Software announces licensing agreement and strategic relationship with Microsoft to reduce the growing costs of regulatory compliance

MCLEAN, VA—May 9, 2007—Brabeion Software, the leader in IT Regulatory Compliance, adds Microsoft to its list of strategic relationships that also includes companies such as PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and the IT Governance Institute. Brabeion will license to Microsoft a baseline of IT Controls for Microsoft platform offerings such as Windows Vista and Microsoft Exchange Server referenced against regulatory compliance frameworks. These controls, when used as part of the Microsoft System Center family of systems management offerings, will allow Microsoft to offer its customers additional tools to help them meet IT regulatory requirements. In addition, Brabeion will work closely with Microsoft as an early adopter program participant to create Brabeion solutions that enhance the regulatory capabilities of future Microsoft System Center offerings, fueling Brabeions continued growth as the strategic IT compliance leader.

This relationship is not only good for Microsoft and Brabeions customers, but also for the systems management and regulatory compliance industry as a whole. Brabeion has an intimate knowledge of IT controls and compliance needs. This knowledge, along with our technology, can help our customers streamline IT compliance processes and meet regulatory requirements more efficiently, said Bill Corrigan, director of product management, System Center Marketing at Microsoft Corp. We can further enhance the level of visibility and automated control for our customers, something that is greatly needed in highly regulated IT environments and industries dealing with regulations such as Sarbanes-Oxley.

Brabeion will license components of its Compliance Knowledgebase to Microsoft. The Compliance Knowledgebase is one element of the Brabeion Compliance Management Suite that also includes Brabeion Compliance Center (BCC), and Brabeion Compliance Manager (BCM). BCC is Brabeions Policy Lifecycle Management product which enables enterprises to define, manage, and disseminate IT policies. BCM is Brabeions Compliance Dashboard that integrates with varying management and assessment technologies to provide a complete view of the IT compliance program at-a-glance, and over a period of time to facilitate compliance program optimization and remediation efforts. Brabeions Compliance Management Suite allows organizations to define requirements and manage the people, processes and technologies that make up an enterprise IT compliance program.

I am excited about the opportunities this relationship with Microsoft brings to Brabeion. As our solutions support over 85 technologies and more than 17 regulations and control frameworks, I believe the possibilities of increasing efficiency for our customers are boundless. This relationship with Microsoft is another example of our commitment to become the authoritative leader on IT compliance, said Steve Schlarman, Chief Compliance Strategist of Brabeion Software.
